Second Interview

        OVERVIEW

The second interview I conducted was with a friend that attends SDSU and relies on the bus rather than the trolley system most mornings. My second interviewee took on a different perspective of how they perceive the transportation system and if they would recommend taking public transportation to students attending SDSU. My interviewee lives about 14 minutes away from school by car, and about 25 minutes away taking the bus. Due to the short amount of time it takes her by bus, she expressed positive feelings towards public transportation and even encouraged students to take it as well. The site pros of public transportation provides pros of how public transportation benefits students.

            WHAT RESONATED WITH ME

What resonated with me from this interview, is that the interviewee said she felt as if she would be on conquests or feel as if she is having “fun” taking public transport. I resonated with her when she said this because taking the bus and trolley definitely does feel like you are independent and exploring the city by yourself. Something that I learned about the problem that I was not aware about before, is that there was an instance where my friend on the bus encountered a person stopping the bus from going, and this made my friend late to class. Therefore this experience of hers revealed that as a young student, you do have to be wary of your surroundings and taking the bus can sometimes be inefficient when it comes to instances like these.

WHATS STILL MISSING?

A part that is still missing from my understanding is her opinion if  the San Diego transportation system accommodates SDSU students because while she does claim to have fun riding on the trolley, there were a couple moments where it came to be inconvenient to her.
