For my interview, I interviewed two freshmen SDSU students who use the trolley and public transportation system on a daily basis. Both of my interviewees are related to the problem because they take the system often and their experiences are reliable sources of getting insight to my question: Does the San Diego transportation system accommodate SDSU students without a car?

First Interview

OVERVIEW             The first interview I conducted was with a friend of mine who has been taking the public transportation system all throughout high school and his first year of college. The Pronto app in San Diego does have a feature for individuals 18 and under; where this group can ride public transportation for free. I was aware that individuals above 18 had to pay a certain fee, but through my interviewee I learned the exact amount my interviewee pays weekly to board the trolley. From Monday to Friday, he pays 50 dollars weekly to board the orange line and green line to get to SDSU. This amount can even increase to about 60 to 70 dollars, when he has to commute to work or go anywhere in San Diego. Due to how much he pays now that he is above 18, he wishes for a lower reduced fare. The site Department of transportation & education describes ways to increase school attendanc...

Second Interview

OVERVIEW           The second interview I conducted was with a friend that attends SDSU and relies on the bus rather than the trolley system most mornings. My second interviewee took on a different perspective of how they perceive the transportation system and if they would recommend taking public transportation to students attending SDSU. My interviewee lives about 14 minutes away from school by car, and about 25 minutes away taking the bus. Due to the short amount of time it takes her by bus, she expressed positive feelings towards public transportation and even encouraged students to take it as well. The site pros of public transportation provides pros of how public transportation benefits students.                 WHAT RESONATED WITH ME What resonated with me from this interview, is that the interviewee said she felt as if she would be on conquests or feel as if s...
